We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team of professional and dedicated staff as a Grade 4 Site Manager at Mayfield School. EIAT is a thriving Multi Academy Trust (MAT) in North Birmingham incorporating Wilson Stuart School (including Bluesky Nursery), Mayfield School, Queensbury School, The Hive College and Lime Tree Nursery. We strive to share best practice and work in cohesive, collaborative and innovative ways. Our ethos is ‘Better Never Ends’.
The role at Mayfield School will play a fundamental part in current and future building site improvement projects, such as a significant fire safety project approved through the CIF bid process this academic year and the installation of solar panels in the near future.. As well as project management at site level, you will be responsible for improving the environments for our students and staff, as well as ongoing maintenance and compliance with all relevant legislation. You will be an integral part of a new Trust team, reporting to the Trust Estates and Environment Leader. This role will be primarily based at Mayfield School, B19 1HJ but there will be opportunities to work together as a Trust-wide team to find inventive solutions and to share ideas.
The ideal candidate for these roles will:
· Have experience of working in a site role;
· Have an excellent working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation along with practical experience of ensuring compliance;
· Have a proactive approach and to be able to prioritise and address issues identified;
· Be an excellent team player and able to work with a range of staff colleagues; and
· Have a commitment to working with students with SEND and an appreciation of how important the right environment is for them to flourish.
There will be a requirement across the team to work outside term times, which may include some early mornings. However, our priority is to attract a talented team, so we are open to having a conversation about location and working hours.
A clean driving licence is advantageous as there will be some travel between our sites.
Informal conversations and visits are encouraged and can be arranged by contacting Denise Hibbert, Trust Estates and Environment Leader at d.hibbert@educationimpact.org.uk.
Please note that only Trust application forms will be accepted. We will not read accompanying Curriculum Vitaes (CVs) or accept them instead of an application form.
We offer a benefits package for all employees through BSHF and regular opportunities for professional development and growth as part of the Trust.
The trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and expect all staff to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be subject to all necessary pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS, Childcare Disqualification (where applicable), qualifications, medical fitness, identity and right to work. All applicants will be required to provide two suitable references. An online search (and a prohibition check for teachers) will also be carried out as part of due diligence on all short-listed candidates.
