LEVEL 2 TEACHING ASSISTANT – CASUAL CONTRACT

Position: Teaching Assistant
Job Location: Queensbury School

Salary:  £10.55 per hour

We require casual Teaching Assistants and are seeking to build up a pool of Level 2 Teaching Assistants who are available to cover absences as they arise across the school. (This may be to cover short term absence). The role will involve supporting class teachers with the preparation of resources for lessons, supporting pupils during lessons and supporting the needs and well-being of pupils throughout the school day.  These roles will ideally suit people who do not want to be tied to a regular working commitment.  Successful candidates will be able to state a preference for working days and availability.

Students at Queensbury School work on a differentiated National Curriculum but some achieve up to GCSE levels.  Life skills and social communication are key learning skills for our young people.  Queensbury School is looking for keen and talented Level 2 Teaching Assistants who are committed to child centred learning, able to plan and deliver the curriculum in an exciting and stimulating way, can communicate effectively with children, staff and parents and is able to work as part of a team.

The successful applicant will require an enhanced DBS check and will be subject to relevant pre-employment checks.  Please note Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to be paid by the successful candidate (approx. £50).
